The village of Gleicherwiesen was in the possession of the family for hundreds of years.
The manor house, pictured below, was partially destroyed under the communists. The
family graves were also destroyed under the communists. Today, the village is mostly
important to the family as the name of the large branch of the family that went to Austria,
England, Australia, India, New Zealand etc.
